The Boy Got his First Job
My son got his first job yesterday. He will be working at the local Loeb grocery store, starting next weekend. Training is next Monday and Tuesday.
He's very excited as we are because he really wanted a part time job and with his new girlfriend his social life was getting a little expensive.
Anyway, it should be good for him, and we're glad he got it. He was very pleased that he got the job at the first interview, he obviously made a good impression.
His mother worked hard on cover letters and stuff for him too so kudos to her too.

Sunday Morning Musings
I should change the title of this post because I get some of these ideas, not all, but some, during the week and write them down then post them on Sunday so it should probably be "Musings as They Occur to Me and Written Down for Posting on Sunday Because That's the Schedule and I Must Adhere to It or My Life Will Have No Meaning."
A little long but catchy.
We're slowly getting back on our feet here. As I reported last week everyone's been sick and we're still not 100% but it's coming. As is the redesign. Looks a bit bare right now but like I said if I do too much at once I'll screw it up. Nice banner though eh ? And yeah, I'll give credit where it's due when I'm finished.
The other day I overheard someone in the office say Laura has a secret. Since there's nobody in our office named Laura I tuned out so I can't tell you what it is. Too bad, it might have been interesting.
When I was waiting for the train the other day a lady had headphones on with the volume cranked up so I could hear she was listening to traditional Scottish music. It made me want to break out in a jig but then the train arrived. Oh well, I probably would have embarrased her anyway.
Speaking of the train, or the bus, when you say "Excuse me" to someone you expect them to move so you can get off the bus right ? Not always. One fella this week was in the middle of the aisle and when I said "Excuse me" he looked at me like I was a Martian. So I said it again. No response, Finally I squeezed by him. Fortunately I'm thin otherwise I would have missed my stop.
Every night before I go to bed I pick out my clothes for the following day (yeah, I'm anal that way). Trouble is once in a while I just do it in the dark (pick my clothes not the other thing !!!). Not such a good idea. The other day I ended up wearing green pants with a blue shirt, looked absolutely terrible. Funny thing is I didn't notice until I was halfway to the bus by which time it was too late to go home and change. Nobody commented at work. I guess they felt sorry for me.
The princess was watching television last night and "Supernanny" and "Kicked Out" were on back to back. I guess the message is if you don't get your kids to fly right when they're young you'll have to kick them out when they grow up.
Finally, they've passed a new adoption law in Canada allowing both adoptees (that's me) and adoptwhatsits (my real mother) to go looking for their son/daughter/mother. My wife asked me if I was interested. I'm not. Then she asked what I would do if my real mother came looking for me. Depends on how rich she is I said. Just kidding. My adoptive parents raised me as their own and I will always think of them as my parents. I have no reason to go looking for someone else.
Anyway, that's it for another Sunday folks. I hope to be back on a more regular basis soon but in the meantime cheers and take care.
